Hard/mixed drinks:
Respondents tend to think hard/mixed drinks with plain black stirrers will most likely be served at local bars (79%) and nightclubs (63%), followed by moderately priced restaurants (54%).
When it comes to the types of establishments most likely to serve hard/mixed drinks with customized, molded drink stirrers, upscale hotel bars (62%), nightclubs (51%), and white table cloth restaurants (45%) were the top mentions.
· Over two-thirds of respondents expect to find moderate prices at an establishment serving hard/mixed drinks with plain black stirrers, whereas, more than half expect to find high prices at an establishment serving hard/mixed drinks with customized, molded drink stirrers.
· On average, respondents expect to find a higher level of cleanliness, service, atmosphere, popularity, food quality, and overall experience at an establishment serving hard/mixed drinks with customized, molded drink stirrers compared to one serving hard/mixed drinks with plain black stirrers.
· Two out of three respondents would expect to pay more for a hard/mixed drink with a customized molded drink stirrer than for one with a plain black stirrer.
Soft drinks:
When asked about the types of establishments most likely to serve soft drinks with plain straws, casual theme restaurants (67%), diners (64%), and local bars (63%) were the most popular mentions. In comparison, respondents tend to think casual theme restaurants (62%) and moderately priced restaurants (61%) are most likely to serve soft drinks with bright yellow straws.
· Almost three-fifths of respondents indicated they expect to find moderate prices at an establishment serving soft drinks with either a plain straw or a bright yellow straw.
· Respondents expect to find a slightly higher level of cleanliness, service, atmosphere, popularity, food quality, and overall experience, on average, at an establishment serving soft drinks with a bright yellow straw compared to one serving soft drinks with a plain straw.
· More than half of respondents said they would expect to pay more for a soft drink with a bright yellow straw than they would for one with a plain straw.
